So Here's the Story...
Parenting is a beautiful, rewarding, joy-filled experience—said no exhausted parent ever. If you’ve ever found yourself hiding in the pantry, inhaling stale crackers just to get 30 seconds of peace, we see you. If your child has ever screamed, “I’m bored!” exactly 2.5 seconds after you handed them an iPad, we feel you. And if you’ve ever Googled “how to make screen time educational” while questioning all your life choices, well… welcome home.
This whole thing started because my sister, a proud yet severely overwhelmed mother of two, was one meltdown away from legally changing her name to “Not Right Now.” Between the endless snack requests, the mysterious stickiness, and the constant need for entertainment, she was drowning. I figured, why not throw her a life raft? But instead of, say, offering to babysit (let’s not get crazy), I decided to create something better: a way for kids to be engaged without requiring their parents to summon the patience of a saint.
Enter Craft Nest: a collection of easy, actually fun, mess-contained (ish) crafty activities designed to keep kids busy and make parents feel like Pinterest-level superheroes—with minimal effort. We’re talking projects that won’t have you scrubbing glue off the ceiling, supplies that don’t require a scavenger hunt through three different stores, and instructions that won’t make you regret your decision halfway through.
Because let’s be real: parenting is hard. And while we can’t make your kids sleep past 6 AM or stop them from asking “why?” 87 times a day, we can make keeping them entertained just a little bit easier.
So, grab a kit, take a breath, and maybe—just maybe—enjoy five whole minutes of silence. You deserve it.
